At Local World Gallery, we strive to be uplifting
for our artists, our visitors and our community.
Art is the highest form of hope.
Thanks for visiting!
Local World Gallery is us: Rob Trussell and Judy Anderson. We are, respectively, musician/songwriter and potter. We assembled a stellar roster of artists for you!
Our artists are from Wisconsin, Iowa and Minnesota. We are so fortunate to have such talent; emerging artists all the way to long-time, established names. We also shine a light on several of Wabasha's own artists, ranging in age from 21 to 80! They are all top-notch folks with whom we have real relationships. Nothing we sell is imported.
We proudly feature pottery, oil paintings, acrylic paintings and watercolors, pastels, intaglio, gouache and silkscreen, jewelry, silk scarves and tapestry carpet bags, photography, layered glass platters, upcycled Hmong needlecraft bags made in Minnesota, greeting cards, books, vintage vinyl records, guitars and amps, ukuleles, the occasional banjo, toys, maybe even a trombone, t-shirts, mittens and hats, natural goat milk soaps and lotions.
When it becomes safe to resume, Rob is also thrilled to offer Beginning Guitar lessons for ages 8 years and up.
is situated along the Mighty Mississippi River in the unique geological region known as the Driftless Area. Covering some 13,000 square miles, the Driftless was formed by the run-off from melting glaciers as they receded, never having reached the area.
The scenery is that of ever-changing riverscape, the rolling quilts of farmland and winding ridges that frame verdant valleys that are home to some of the best trout fishing streams around.
The Mississippi river marks the migration route for hundreds of species of birds and is known as The Mississippi Flyway. Wabasha is host to the National Eagle Center.
We have always been attracted to the river and though we are new to Wabasha, the town has made us feel so welcome. We are happy to be among such good people.
We are proud to be new members of the Wabasha/Kellogg Chamber of Commerce. Visit them at www.wabasha.org for more information. Rob is now a member of the Board of Directors for the River Junction Arts Council. rjac.org
